The Middle East is a region rich in oil and gas in the world and a high-end market in the oil industry, with a very important position. The Ahdeb oilfield is one of the important blocks for CNPC to develop the market in Iraq. It is noteworthy that CNPC signed an agreement to develop the AHDEB oil field as early as 1996, but it was forced to cancel it due to the outbreak of the Iraq War in 2003. In November 2008, the two parties agreed to set the Chinese investment amount at 3 billion US dollars. In March 2009, CNPC started to develop the AHDEB oil field in southern Iraq, which was the first large-scale investment by a foreign oil company in Iraq’s oil industry after the Iraq War.

This project is Iraq’s first oil contract after the war, and it is an important breakthrough of CNPC’s Middle East strategy. The whole world is paying attention to the Chinese people’s performance in the Iraqi oil market. It needs to be emphasized that the security capacity of this project is zero, and the company will be responsible for the security work to the end in accordance with the concept of big logistics and big security.

Several requirements were put forward for the preparation situation: 1. The EPC team should be further internationalized; 2. The two parties should further strengthen exchanges and communication in order to make full use of the mature experience and resources that Oasis Company obtained in Iraq in the early stage; 3. All work should be planned in advance , especially the relocation of personnel and material relocation must be prepared two months in advance, and the impact of various unexpected factors on the project must be fully considered.

Now, according to Iraq AHDEB Oilfield Surface Construction Project—Instrument Bidding Document (No. IRAQ/DWL/2010/006), Shanghai Xingshen Instrument Co., Ltd. is now determined to be the supplier of magnetic float level gauge after review by the company’s bid evaluation committee On the other hand, the body material and float material of the supplied magnetic float level gauge are all made of Hastelloy C, and the overall material does not contain aluminum. Our company is very honored to participate in the construction of AHDEB project, the first post-war oil contract in Iraq, and will work together with all participating units to complete the AHDEB project on schedule.
